In Nov 2014 we were happy to attend the annual fundraiser for the African Preschools Society, put on by comedian and friend of the shop Johnny Bagpipes. The purpose of the society is to build and maintain preschools in impoverished rural African villages in order to provide preschool education, nutrition and basic health care in a safe environment. To help support, we provided a custom kilt for their silent auction.
Pictured left are kilt maker Jackson in the Macbeth Ancient tartan in P/V, and Johnny Bagpipes (www.johnnybagpipes.com ). John is one of the founders and directors of the charity and is sporting a Ramsey Blue tartan in P/V. Also pictured is the Stewart Dress tartan kilt in P/V that was included in the silent auction.
